Fire Australia 2013 - Defects: Managing what’s outside the box!

Fire Australia is the premier fire protection industry conference attracting a wide range of representation from businesses, government and fire safety practitioners.

Fire Australia 2012

Early this afternoon, Fire Australia 2012, the annual conference and exhibition concluded after three days of frantic activity.

There were over 30 speakers covering a wide range of topics under the theme "The True Cost of Fire: Life Property Environment".

Day One

The day kicked off with an opening address by Craig Lapsley, the Fire Services Commissioner of Victoria.

Following on throughout the day there were a range of speakers speaking about a range of subjects including;

    Fire Australia 2012 - The Environmental Cost of Maintenance

    The fire protection industry in Australia has a long history of tackling difficult problems related to the environment. Most notably, our industry achievements include eliminating Halon 1211 and 1301 from general use and more recently a sustainable reduction in water consumption from the testing of automatic fire sprinkler systems.

    Later today (November 14, 2012) I will be speaking at the Fire Australia 2012 Conference at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on the subject of "The Environmental Cost of Maintenance".

    Fire Australia 2012 - Call for Papers

    The call for papers for Fire Australia 2012 has been announced seeking applications for interested people to speak at the exhibition and conference.

    This years's conference is titled "The True Cost of Fire" and is being held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from November 14 to November 16.
