Job Details

This opportunity for a technician has been identified to deliver maintenance on behalf of our customers in our Melbourne office. In this role, you will be responsible for the regular inspection and testing of portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, emergency lights, exit signs and other essential safety measures as directed.

Skills & Experience

The typical duties and responsibilities of this role include the following;

  1. conduct a Job Hazard Analysis ("JHA") and if required prepare a Safe Work Method Statement ("SWMS") for high risk construction activities;
  2. use your knowledge and experience to undertake the inspection (routine servicing) or installation of portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire doors and other essential safety measures as directed in accordance with the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards;
  3. conduct a survey and prepare a report to identify any defects or condition that could adversely affect the  reliability or operation of the essential safety measure;
  4. other duties as directed.

In order to fulfil these duties, you will need the following;

Work Location

Our office is based in Notting Hill however there will be some travel around the Melbourne metropolitan area or within the state of Victoria meeting with our customers and other technicians on site to undertake your duties competently and safely.
