Respiration Device Classes
- Class P1
- Class P1 respirator is selected when airborne particulate material, including asbestos and silica, is produced by mechanical means. For example sawing, drilling, sanding and grinding.
- Class P2
- Class P2 respirator is selected when there are thermally produced fumes, such as those from welding, oxy cutting or smoke.
- Class P3
- Intended for use against all particulates including highly toxic materials, e.g. beryllium. NB: Requires a full face mask.
