Fire Protection and the Environment ? Planning a Sustainable Future

October 22 to 24, 2007 - Burswood Resort in Perth, Australia

Australia?s premier conference for the Fire Industry - Fire Australia 2007 will be held at the Burswood Resort in Perth on October 22 ? 24. The theme for the conference will be ?Fire Protection and the Environment ? Planning a Sustainable Future?.

The Call for Papers brochure is now available, to download. Alternatively, to register your interest as a delegate, exhibitor, or sponsor email FPA Australia to register your contact details.

Climate change, drought, water flows in the Murray Darling Basin, ground salinity in WA and sustainable cities are hot topics on both the political and technology agendas currently in Australia and the world!

Fires contribute to global warming and environmental damage. Water shortages and pressure reduction programs are challenging many of the basic concepts of fi re protection. At the same time, sustainable construction is requiring consideration of embodied energy in building materials and construction practices.

Fire Australia 2007 will tackle these issues in Perth in what is arguably one of the world?s most beautiful cities, situated on the picturesque Swan River, close to magnificent ocean beaches, and the Margaret River Wine District.

For this conference, we are looking for papers and presenters who represent the current thought leadership on these import ant environmental and sustainability issues as they impact the broad fire safety and emergency management community.

We are seeking papers from both Australian and international speakers who offer real solutions and best practice advice rather than simply promote a particular product or service.

The exhibition will be the key focus of Fire Australia 2007 and will be a major fire event in its own right, targeting not only conference delegates, but a wide range of fire protection regulators, buyers and advisers. Every opportunity will be provided to allow exhibitors to showcase their products.
